I had my first life drawing class this evening. We did several exercises, one of which was a half hour or so on a piece that resulted in this . I'll mark it as a base to hopefully improve from. It's a black conte pastel on paper

It's very good, nice work. I like sketchwork more than finished pieces sometimes -- this is one of those times.
Can't wait to see the progression over the weeks.
