This was the final week of life drawing. Both pieces were drawn with charcoal, we had a bit omre time with the first and it's about half the size of the second which is why it's a bit more developed.

I'm trying out an Australian Print on Demand store called Red Bubble. I've put a few pieces up so if you're interested you can buy them from here. If there's other pieces you think I should offer up there drop me a line in the comments here and let me know.

This took up most of the A1 sheet. It was initially drawn with pencil and then shaded with willow charcoal. I tried to shade it by putting down the charcoal and then smudging with my finger, but I wasn't happy with the result.
This one was initially sketched out with compressed charcoal, and was quite a bit smaller (A2 size or so). I shaded it with a combination of willow charcoal and an eraser which gave nice dark soft lines and the compressed charcoal for definition.

I had my first life drawing class this evening. We did several exercises, one of which was a half hour or so on a piece that resulted in this . I'll mark it as a base to hopefully improve from. It's a black conte pastel on paper
